Could be worse, and soon! This engine is a rolling time bomb, a true pos. New and/or reman engines are NOT available. Have been waiting for 2 months now, and am behind 3 other Freelanders for engines. Coolant will leak past sleeves, contaminate oil, compression will pressurize cooling system and the engine will finally cook itself. Trade it away while it still runs. When it quits you will wait 2, 4, 6 months for repair. Engines come from China!! and are not available. To test, call any LR parts dept. and wait for them to stop laughing at you.
