is the mobiliser lamp (picture of a green key in dash) doing anything strange? if its ok there is a diagnostic connector (passengers footwell) again link needed that will flash the MIL lamp with fault codes, its probably just coincidence as the 2 circuits are not linked except for a speed signal to the airbag module!
