: Gents the in line thermostat which comes onto
: your lower rad hose causes a lot of issues
: including lack of coolant circulation which
: in turn causes the fans not to come on and
: also excess pressure build up in the coolant
: system which then fails the rubber gaskets.
I don't know how Landrover can get away with this KNOWN problem!!! Mine is now in the shop for the same thing loosing coolant since I bought the piece of garbage! Why hasn't there been a class action suit against them?
: Regularly check the temp differences between
: your top and bottom rad hoses. they should
: not be the same but they should not be too
: drastic a difference as this is a clear sign
: of the thermostat not opening.ONLY DO THIS
: CHECK WHEN THE CAR IS HOT AND TAKE CARE NOT
: TO BURN YOURSELF ON THE EXHAUST
: MANIFOLD.Normally the bottom hose will be
: warm whilst the top is hot.If the bottom
: hose is cold then you do not have
: circulation and the inline thermostat needs
: changing it will set you back about £30 at
: the dealers. Please dont ignore the other
: responses as they are just as genuine as
: this one
: Thanks
