Hi Everyone,
I've always had a crush on the Land Rover Discovery and have wanted one forever. Here is my current situation:
I have around $3,500 for a used car to get me to work and the occasional weekend road trip. I've found several Discoveries in the Los Angeles area for $2-$3,000 that look to be in good condition and have around 100-140,000 miles. As a young guy with a steady but somewhat modest income would it be smart to depend on a car like this? I've heard they can be really expensive to fix and usually need to be in some way or another.
Probably should go with something more conservative but I would really like to own one of these.
Any thoughts, tips or experiences are greatly appreciated.
