the sound of water across the dash thing means you need to bleed your cooling system. its really easy on series2 discos. with engine cool, fill bottle, lift as high as possible in the engine compartment(it is snapped into place)then open the vent in the center of the coolant hose(its about the size of a dime with a cross on top)when air stops comming out, close. repeat after turning the engine over. never open system with vehicle warm. you might have to do this a few times before you are completely air free. good luck
