Range rover mirror

My 95 RR mirror leaked out the fluid. I have a replacement mirror. I want to just remove the old mirror and attach the new one to the already existing holder. I cant seem to make the cover on the piece attached to the window move out of the way so i can access the screw. Any suggestions?
