Question about buying a used Land Rover

Hello All,
I thought I would come to your community and ask the experts a question about buying a Land Rover. I have never owned a Land Rover, however I do have a couple of friends who own them and love them. I do not have the money to buy a new one right now, so I am forced to buy a used Rover. Which brings me to my questions. I would like your opinions on purchasing a 1997 Land Rover Discovery SE7 for $6500. It is in great shape, no accidents. It has all the bells and Whistles and they all work. It has 135,000 miles on it. How long do you think this Rover will last (engine wise) and what problems may I expect to have with a Rover with this high of mileage – ex: engine, electrical, exhaust. Will it nickel and dime me to death? I would appreciate any feed back on the subject. Anything you can tell would be very helpful. Thank you all for your time.
