While doing the weekly oil and water check on my Rover 75 1.8 Club Manual I found signs that a surprising large number of pipes and hoses were not properly restrained and were showing early signs of serious chaffing.
(2) Right drive models check the throttle cable is no chaffing on the ac pipes and that retaining clip on the inlet manifold is not biting through the cables protective rubber sleeve.
(3) On the rear left side of the engine bay: Examine all the pipes in the area of the throttle body and anti-lock brake unit for chaffing and also any pipe in the vincity of the gear change cables for the Getrag manual gearbox.
(4) Check the support clips for the wiring for the manifold lambda sensor are properly fitted and are giving effective support to the cable.tly
