Posted by The Twang KIng But, i had an ace up my sleeve that night. I was allready excited for the Sadies set that was to come on later having heard a bit of their material before hand. I certainly did not expect the show that we saw that night. I love twangy guitars, and i was not disappointed. Travis and Dallas are without a doubt some of the most creative and unique guitar voices out there. Sean and Mike are a very solid and versatile unit that has the musical chops to keep up with the hard to pigeon hole Good Bros. They mesmerized us here in Ottawa with a sound that was equally as much inspired by Johnny Cash as it is by Duane Eddy, or even Syd Barret. Although they seemed truly amazed by the reception they got here, we were as equally truly amazed with the outstanding show we got in return. I have since have bought "The Stories Often Told", which is truly fantastic. I have been woodshedding with that CD eversince I bought it, and have figuered out how to play 2/3 of their great instrumental, Lay Down Your Arms, as well as Oak Ridges, now if I can get Monkey and Cork down, all will be good. My Danelectro had never worked as hard as it did when i got that CD Thanks guys, your show was a true inspiration.

I just wanted to let say that the Sadies set at the Ottawa Bluesfest was utter jaw droppingly great. We all had milled in to see Elvis Costello like Pavlovs Dog, and it sucked. We walked out on good ol' Declan McManus (Elvis or whatever he goes by now)
