So, after 10 years of successful waxing (credit to the queen's teaching's), I am stumped by a recent new client's reaction. After a bikini wax, her skin flared up in bumps so bumpy i was starting to sweat (although i didn't let her see me sweat). I thought it may have been the wax (still using the ceripil blue - i know i know - time to switch anyway). I told her i had seen it before, on men's backs the first time waxing. i called to follow up the next day, and she said it had calmed down. 4 weeks later she returned : ) . "in the butt" or between the cheeks, i used the ceripil again, and the bumps flared up again. when i flipped her over to wax the front, i used a different hard wax and there was less of a reaction. maybe the alternate wax had a lower melting temp and it was all heat related??? then she wanted me to wax her arms and legs, but at her first appointment we tried the ceripil ease on her cheeks (butt) and she had the white head pimply break out , so this time i tried ceripil ocean. her lower legs were fine, but the upper inner thighs flared up in bumps and her arms, holy s**t! bumpy lumpy red and we put ice packs and it brought it down a bit.
After this crazy experience I am ready for a new wax. Bring on the Berins! I'm calling to order some! Hopefully this is the answer to all my problems (this client's reaction, ceripil not available in large bulk, lower melt temp, etc)
any feedback on this reaction? yowza!
