Clear It

This might seem like a random question but how do you use Clear It? Is it spread all over the treatable area i.e. back, chest etc. or just dabbed onto the individual pimples? Can it be used on a client who had a breakout on his last appointment (just in case) he may break out again following his current appointment? Or again, is it only used in effected areas?
