Lemon Juice cloth after wax?

I just heard of another esthetician who puts a cloth soaked in lemon juice on the waxed area to aid in pain relief after waxing... I can't find any information anywhere on this and it seems...pointless and time wasteful to me?

Has anyone ever heard of this?
