I had the same concern when I ran my first Groupon, but all my clients get a first time appointment discount anyway, so you don't owe them a special at all. Most grown up people understand you are doing a Groupon to get new clients in the door and that you cannot do the Groupon level deal on a daily basis and still keep your doors open. Just a note - the Groupon Now daily deals kind of suck. I did that a couple of times and those caused more trouble than they were worth and I had clients calling to see if I was running them on certain days and trying to wait it out for a special, so I learned the hard way to just do one or two Groupons a year and then its easier to spread out the loss in profit amongst the established clients. The clients that don't get it about how and why we use Groupons only for new clients tend to be Groupon hoppers and its just as well to let them go on to the next deal any way.
