I find people who have waxed regularly before much easier to wax. Perhaps you have hit that point. And it will never hurt as much as the first time for you now. I also find people who wax regularly even when they are new to me, faster to wax. I doubt a newbie would feel the same though. And I still think hard wax with the proper technique would feel better.
