GOOD LUCK TO ALL HAVE SOME FUN
Posted by A Fan The two teams continued this dogfight with 6 more runs in the 2nd & 3rd innings combined for thunder as Rob Brick and Brian "Moose" James were the big contributors and a 4 run third by Green with Troy Quinn and Russell Rorick Jr. coming through with big blows making this a 16-12 Thunder lead. A quiet top of the 4th for Thunder and believe it or not in Green's half of the 4th they had come back from a 10 run deficit and taken a one run lead with a 5 spot thanks to 5 singles and another big hit by Rorick, Jr. this time a 3 run homer. Green led 17-16 after 4. Thunder didn’t wait long to bounce back with there own 6 spot in the fifth as with 2 out and nobody on they had 6 hit’s a walk and a huge throwing error by Green as Thunder took back the lead for good at 22-17. Green scratched out pennies in the bottoms of the fifth and sixth, Thunder another two in the top of the seventh for the final score of 24-19. Notable players for Thunder were Moose 3 for 3, 2 walks, 4 runs scored and 5 RBI's, Bill G & Joe D had 4 hit evenings as Thunder pounded out 29 hits. For Green Russell Rorick, Jr was 4 for 4 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBI's, Borzillo had 4 hits and 3 RBI's, Quinn & Matt Cyb had 3 hits each as Green had 22 hits of there own. Thunder takes a 2-0 lead into Thursday evenings game in this five game series but knows that they will have there hands full with the upstart Green's blend of speed and power. Good luck to all. Good day, good sports

On a somewhat pleasant late August evening in a nearly must game for Trappe Green things could have not started out worse for them. Visiting Trappe Thunder rudely welcomed the young upstart Green with an eleven hit; ten run first. The entire thunder lineup came through as they sent 15 men to the plate. Most would have curled up and died after this awesome start but Green had other things in mind as they answered with there own seven hit, eight run bottom of the first with big bases loaded blows by Borzilla (Grand Slam) and Leonard (Triple) and the shootout was underway with 18 total runs scored in one inning.
