I will be running the 2008 HR Derby which is a FUND RAISER for our league. In years past we have avergaed around $300 that Heels used to make repairs etc. so it does make a difference to the league. ALL the monies donated go back into the league and the balls we use are recycled back into the league. This is NOT a NORRISTOWN thing, anyone and any league can jump in (the more the merrier). Below are the basics.
* $25 Entrance Fee (includes T-Shirt)
* 3 Rounds
* Round 1 = 10 Outs (Top 50% of Field move to Round 2)
* Round 2 = 7 Outs (Top 50% of Field move to Round 3)
* Round 3 = 7 Outs (Top 3 win)
* The BATTING ORDER will be drawn at the Field prior to the 9:30 am start by me and others.
OUT = ANY ball struck that does not go over the fense fair
TIES = there are no ties for Rounds 1/2 as all will move on. However, IF there is a TIE in Round 3 thos hitters will have a 5 out playoff.
* WOODEN BAT BONUS = Anyone willing to bring/swing a wooden bat and hits a HR with the bat will be worth 5HRs.
WHAT I NEED
1. Volunteers to pitch/shag/score....etc. Volunteers also get a T-Shirt.
2. Participants to PAY (either me or Heels as the 6 dozen balls have been ordered).
