Posted by Jay! As for fiction, I couldn't accept TNG's offering when originally offered to me. Later, when I noticed things had slowed down here, I hated to see the series end like the TV show with so much in the air. So, my partner Russ and I began doing an "episode guide" to finish up the season, tie things up. However, we didn't get much response, so we let it slip. We just didn't have time to do full episdoes. I love TNG. I have some quirks about it, but I love it on the whole. However, to be a true "next generation" it needs to be just that, a next generation. There seems to be three divisions of Dynasty fans -- the Blake/Krystle fans, the Blake/Alexis fans, and those who want to see the grandchildren grown up -- and it's not easy to satisfy them all, we tried. Also, does TNG evolve in real time? If so, the main characters are way too old. I love Joan Collins, she's wonderful, but I just can't see her in those bed-hopping deals anymore. Maybe there should be two Dynasty fictions that co-exist. One features the Carringtons and Colbys today in the present; while the other focuses on the grandchildren and occasionally the two overlap. It would be like ... Golden Girls and Empty Nest or Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman, co-existing and sometimes crossing over and sharing the same setting and supporting cast. I hear that rival Blood & Oil is coming back. There are plenty of fan fictions out there, mostly short stories. Some are really good, but most are predictible. I don't know how anyone else works -- there are plenty of fan fiction sites -- but what Russ and I did was make an outline, break the outline down into sets -- we had 32 scenes, and we gave four to each set (a set of four scenes for Fallon & Jeff, for example). That became the episode guide we started here. We had the outline if we ever wanted to fill it in later. Anyway, it was easy to plan an entire season, plot when things would occur, how it would effect others in the story, etc. Yaniv had given me permission to continue the series, I had about four other people lined up but I guess they had other commitments. I believe that is the hardest part to doing something like this, finding people who are commited to producing a regularlly published series. And when personal conflicts come up, well, your personal life takes over. For example, our lives are hold right now as we are moving to Miami this summer. Maybe Dynasty won't be back, maybe it will but regardless, it lives in our hearts.

Well, if you're referring to the original series, I just don't see anything.
