The former Inspiral Carpets singer was in superb form, with a rich, powerful voice and expressive blues guitar. As well as his impressive solo cuts, he delivered a singalong cover of Janis Joplin's Mercedes Benz and a few Carpets tunes. This is How It Feels was especially good, his arrangement improving the original. The only let-down was his rants between songs at Guns 'N' Roses and the government.
