Posted by raf The probability that this convection will evolve into a real tropical system is moderately high based from what i can see in the satellite images... What parts of the country will this system affect if ever it will develop into a storm? And will this be the earliest tropical cyclone to develop in a given period of the year? In your own assessment, how intense/strong will the La Nina Season be for this year? What will be the particular effects of this "rare phenomenon"?

thanks michael!
Will this season produce more violent and intense storms? Are we going to see Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma in the making again?

: Hi Raf,
:
: You're right. This system has the potential
: of becoming our first system for 2006. As
: for the La Niņa's evolution, latest forecast
: now shows it developing during the next 3 to
: 6 months. For more details:

:
: Hope it won't be too intense. The more
: intense La Niņa is, the more wet our country
: will be.
