Posted by titojt Thanks for the impressive microwave imagery...Itreally gives an idea of the extent and breadth of the storm's impact.. Let me share with you the experience in Cavite City as related to me by friends (I was in Manila where we did not really experience a lull)- shortly after the lull associated with Milenyo set in (it was still cloudy but the sky was brighter)the sky suddenly darkened when thousands of birds were seen wandering, chattering, but all seemed headed in one direction...our theory was that the birds were simply following the direction of the eye to avoid the onslaught of violent winds at the eyewall... very interesting... we did not get this kind of experience from Rosing in 1995 (although the eye experience was similar- lull, bright sky, etc)...
