Actually satellite images help us to determined the cause of sudden rain for example, however, our weather agency has no capable to determined the exact amount to fall in the particular area. Doppler radar used in other weather agencies including the TRMM satellite images are capable to determine the exact amount to fall over the area. The only images i am using so far is the TRMM which gives me idea to how much rainfall possibly to fall within the area by comparing the IR/VIS satellite including Funktop satellite image and the amount given by TRMM every 3 hours. It is more convenient for me so far.So far up to 6mm/hr of rainfall likely to fall over Mmla within the next 3hrs (13:50hrs)
