Southwest Monsoon

I wonder when is this southwest monsoon will start to dissipate. It seems the monsoon has grown stronger after this few years especially this year. Is it because of the La Nina last year? There's always a strong monsoon rains everytime there is a typhoon near the country. Is it normal?
