I am currently viewing the latest satellite animation of TY Lupit in JMA's satellite imagery. It seems that Lupit is drifting northeast to east very slowly. The mid-level low pressure trough is pulling Lupit to the northeast. I don't know but it looks like TY Lupit is veering away from the country, and it's already on a high latitude (17 degrees). However, I remember a similar typhoon, UNDING (MUIFA) which drifted east to north east then performed a clockwise loop and tracked west-southwest.
