Well, PAGASA does have good satellite feed but I think it's the analysis part (including tweaking channels or color bands, etc) that still needs a lot of work. Presently, I heard that they are more focused in training their technical personnel on doppler radars.
Meanwhile, it is rather surprising why they would issue a warning for a surface low that lacks deep convection. We all know that wind is not much of a concern in the Mountain regions of Cagayan and CAR. I'm hoping that they "kill" Domeng to make way for the 'true threat' that is 96W and the monsoon regime active in the Visayas region.
