I did ask if they know this website out of curiosity and some poeple do remember you in pagasa during your "malling" days there. Btw, I'm a meteo grad student in UP. Frankly our (met students) background in synoptic met (aka forecasting) needs a lot of work. I would actually join pagasa after I graduate but I'm contemplating of further studies/training on the more practical side of meteorology (i.e.,satellite). Btw, do you know that pagasa is receiving feed from Terra/Aqua since 2008? But... You know...
Anyway, I'm excited in joining them but a little concerned about the much deeper challenges - the "underlying problems".
Is it ok if I also consult w/ you by email?
Meanwhile, I'll ask my other colleagues (other students) if they want to join this group. Some are not really into tropical cyclones (yet) but let's what they think.
