Happy to have known you too. Ako naman pala I got hooked by Typhoon Saling, kelan nga ba yun? Don't answer the question hehe... anywayz, I think it's one of my first memories in early childhood. I can only remember glimpses like our windows getting destroyed, etc. Since then, I became fascinated and curious about the power of the wind. Tuwing may bagyo i go outside and watch what's happening every bit from start to finish. I was also fascinated by the changes in wind direction during a typhoon and what can be more exciting than signal no 3. hehe... I only became aware of the 'damages' come STY Rosing in 1995. It was really scary and the scale and the power of typhoons became real to me. After that, I still get excited about every tropical cyclone and I still go out to watch pero di na masyado from start-to-finish due to other duties. hehe... Now, i'm especially more aware of the damages these storms can do so I'm not too excited anymore or should I say I have reservations now. I also try my best now to do some explaining to my neighbors, family and friends on what to expect in a particular incoming typhoon - as you know iba-iba naman ang bagyo in terms of size and other spatial features kahit na ba mag-kapareho ang lakas. Anyway, another "excitement" of mine are the onsets of the amihan and habagat, and also thunderstorms.
