Always and always, im tired of these criticizms of both sides. Now, Mayor Tomas Osmena said that in the next typhoons, the city government will make their own forecast of the stroms threatening Cebu. The Mayor was a bit angry sa PAGASA coz everyone in the city and its economy kuno was affected by the suspension of classes and some businesses.
For my side, I agree with PAGASA to raise Metro Cebu to signal no. 3 ifact before they hoisted it, I knew that they will bcause based on the satellite, the eye will pass just north of the metropolis of the norhtern city of Danao.
I also criticized PAGASA not because of their forecast but the way they explain the infos and the reason why is this happening where I myself (not a froecaster) knows why this is happening...
looks like they don't know the structure and movement of typhoons at all. Thumbs down to PAGASA personnel. I also do not agree with the Mayor....Cebu is a place where storms seldom hit, but if they hit...there's always a gap between the public and PAGASA regarding storm forecastings, which is not good...Thats all.
: That's the problem with some media men..Why
: get angry? they must be thankful!!!
: Remember, storm signals are issued to warn
: us! Oh wow...

: 9:30pm 16th of March,
: Metro Cebu weather condition - quiet, clear
: skies, humid, wind of less than 10 kph.
: My projection is that Metro Cebu will only
: experience rains and winds not more than
: 15kph during Aurings passage tomorrow
: morning. Maybe business as usual for Metro
: Cebu but Bantayan and Malapascua islands
: might severely affected by the storm, kinda
: sad for Bantayan this near Holy Week. Mactan
: island might only experience rains and weak
: winds so maybe nothing to worry...
:
: exciting! isn't it? anyway, its our
: business..hehe
