Since 6PM of July 26 until 11AM of July 29 there has been non-stop rain here in Iloilo city (and as reported also in Negros Occidental as early as July 25). the whole city is virtually flooded 60-80% . I went on duty to Iloilo Doctors' Hospital with my denim shorts and put my uniform in a waterproof bag together with my shoes. I decided to take the tricycle because taxis wont dare thigh-deep water. Well the water even reached inside the tricycle and the roads became instant rivers...he he hehe...it was like riding a pumpboat to the hospital. Can't PAGASA warn our people of expected rains?...all I hear is...."monsoon rains or ITCZ to affect the blah blah parts of the country"....what else? Iloilo City is the drainage outlet of 5 big rivers in Iloilo Province (Iloilo, Batiano, Jaro, Aganan and Tigum rivers) and we really need those forecasts laymen friendly, easyily understood, on-time and, RIGHT if not that ACCURATE! ...... By the way I enjoyed taking a bath in the rain...which I last did a long time ago...he hehehe
