I am wound up tighter than nipple clamps on midget and sweaty than a sumo wrestlers jock strap but hot damm i have just had the greatest time of my life
when 7.00 came around the band came on to do their thing boy did they do there thing the 1st chords for food for thought kick in we all started screaming....and when Duncan stepped up to the mike i was blown away - he now OWNS that song(yeah that's right i said it ) he does sounds like Ali....but he has a style that made every song that was sung to his own style and he gave it some welly,he did an amazing job some of the classics were played can't help falling in love, sweetsensensation (epic tenna lady moment there) version girl (with mia - our version girl beaming like a woman possessed when the song was played)
baby by earl, where you to the ball, johnny 2 bad. the was couple of new tracks, rainbow nation, I'll be there ( a fave of mine ) and the one with maxi priest singing ( the one to the choon of the old Desmond Decker Israelite's ) that song is a storming if you do not get up and dance after that you are officially dead from the hair roots down maxi p did a great version of grooving.
my hero's of the evening are tony m who did a great job and bt for saying hello to me( and getting a kiss on the cheek) i love that dude???
but my shout out goes to Duncan c.......he did an amazing job he looked dead nervous but he took it all in his stride, even when he got "outed" by robin and his held own on each of the songs......he did brilliantly and i think you guys are in for a treat when you are attending the shows
sorry there is probley loads of stuff i have missed ...but i am in such a daze right now it is unreal
