What a hectic few days to say the least...1st the unbelievable opportunity to be able to attend the rehearsals I felt so honoured to be at this event...kept having to pinch myself infact!
Dunc...what can I say when u started to sing my eyes welled up with tears of joy and I had to pick my chin up off of the floor...your voice TOTALLY blew me away...you & Tony will fit in perfectly we are so proud of you both for what you have taken on as it must seem like such a daunting task at times.
It was such a special night & had a vibe I will never ever forget..what more could I want...seeing my boys & some of my closest friends at the same time And being able to aquire a new improved and updated version of the infamous "campbell sandwich".
Back from the Dam late last night...after a delay and a flight diversion from Brum to East Midlands and back again (thanks for the company & the book Luci ) then another journey by train I finally got home just after 10pm.
What a wonderful few days we have had...getting to know Dunx & Tony properly has been amazing...wot great guys and such good company!
BIG BIG thanks to all the band/crew who have looked after us over the last few days/nights,we are 110% behind you as always
Each show just gets better & better and goes from strength to strength and I for one am incredibly proud of what they are all achieving right now...just a pity I have to wait until July for my next gig fix
The Paradiso is one fantasic venue...wot a stunning building inside I really hope they play here again in the not to distant future...Dunc soon got over his nerves and totally nailed it in my opinion.
Rob & Duncs harmonies were beautiful,Duncan has wonderful diction too I must add...myself & my partner in crime just kept turning to each other throught the shows in total amazement...its a new crisp fresh sound NUB40 are alive & kicking and I will be there to support them all the way in everyway that I can funds allowing. I guess I should show my face at work tomorrow so they dont think I've left! (and no Astro im not a dinner lady!! rofl )
Its been a truely wonderful trip with many many special memories and so good to meet up with friends old & new...Jess,Janet,Anja,Moni,Gerdy,Normie,Kevin,Poes,Eloisa,Sander,Cuerenta,Cheryl & mom...not forgetting "MONKEYS IN THE HOUSE" at the Paradiso sorry if ive forgotten anyone else but my mind is fuddled and tired
Anyway...the last few days have been very special & have taken my mind off of how poorly I have been lately & the tests I have coming up next week and I thank them whole heartedly for that
