Hey Islanders-
Thank you for all the birthday greetings. My day was smoke-free, hospital-free, salt-free . . . an almost perfect birthday until the evening. I had dinner plans with one of my bestest IRL friends.
Mother Nature had other plans . . . we got slammed by a group of storm cells that kept coming, one after the other. And, since we've had drought conditions for over 2 years now, the ground was too hard to take in torrential rains. Lots of flash-floods among other storm damages.
On the bright side, since we had to postpone, I still have a celebration dinner to look forward to some evening now. A raincheck so to speak. Pun intended.
