I once had the amazing opportunity to work in a Woman's Self-Empowerment Program called BECOMING. One of our workshops was a discussion of living/working in a structure more akin to Sarah's Circle than to Jacob's Ladder. We talked about living/working in an atmosphere of co-operation in a circle rather than the competitive spirit of a ladder. The communication, learning, healing that can occur when facing each other across and around a circle is automatic. Those same events are stifled when over or above one another on a ladder. The comparisons go on and on....and on.
