I've decided to reteach myself gas welding. I haven't used a torch since high school metalshop class (except cutting or annealing). My question: Is there any substantial quality difference between Harris, Smith, and Victor equipment? I'm of the mind to assume Victor is the best stuff, because it's (by far) the most expensive. But, we all know cost does not necessarily equal value. Anyone I've talked to is in the same boat, not enough day-to-day real world gas welding experience to offer a knowledgeable opinion. I'm not a weldor by trade, but I'm welding something just about every weekend.
