i welded goodyear tire molds (tig) every day for 6 years. theese were casted al with rubber getting in to the pits (from poor casting). The best/fastest way i found long arc over the work(run tig tourch high above work piece, back and fowarth)burning out most of the contaimants. You may want to get a good tac in a few places.2 another method i used was to lower temp a little and "float out the contaimants"let your puddle go deep
