Michael, I too have used TIG as a source of heat to braze with on super clean metals other than copper types. I would think on high percentage copper based metals you would still need a fluxing agent/paste with the silver-soldering (normally a Gas Welding family process) and wonder if you could direct the TIG Arc so as to heat the metal without causing a problem to the fluxing and melting the base metal. Uncoated Copper/Silicon bronze alloy filler rods are often used for TIG welding metals of copper to copper and to steels with fusion. Many others should give you their ideas and I look foreward to them all.
