Yes, welding spatter melts into car windshields and if you run your hand over the windshield you will feel the small metalic spherical weld spatter on the surface of the glass. The onlt remedy is to replace the windshield. weldersare supposed to be aware of any automobiles in the area approx 25 to 30 feet in any direction from where they are welding.
