I don't know about info on the net. I do know that 75% of learning how to weld is practice. I went to vocational college to learn welding and my teacher never relly helped me with anything. It's just one of those things that either you can do it or u can't. If your looking for a MIG welder I sugest the Miller 252 but your looking at spending about $2000 on any welder thats worth buying. I just bought a used TIG welder and it cost me $1000. So before u buy anythig do your homework on them. if you buy a cheap on thats what your going to get. welding gas and consumables like wire are not cheap either. I say if it's really something you want to do go for it. I love welding, been doing it for 5 1/2 years now and if you have a use for a welder or if you want to make some money on the side it might be a good investment. I sugest you learn how and see if you like it before you go and buy a welder though
