I have been welding for thirty plus years, mostly on heavy metals with GMAW and FCAW with big 650 amp millers. Recently I relocated and have been welding with smaller 300 to 450 amp millers, not all the machines have adjustable inductance and the ones that don't I can adjust and they will run just fine. Now for the question that makes me feel like a dumb ===.
I don't like the way machines with adjustable inductance run. I have asked sales men, educators and manufacturer reps. and the first thing is that NONE of them told me the same thing BUT not one could explain why they don't run the same as a machine with no inductance adjustment. !!!!!
Don't be afraid to tell me it's all in my head.
