My reasonable amount of welding knowhow has me puzzled over this problem I've recently encountered. I operate a Jetline Eng. Seamer GMAW-Miller MaxStar 300LX combo. As the weld progresses the tungsten is picking up what seems to be minut particles of metal shavings and at the end of the 48 inch seam weld there is what looks like a halo of particles at the tip of the electrode, after the weld is finished and power drops off whatever it is comes off with a finger tip off a sst wire brush. Material beig seamed is .059,or 14ga. 316L. All fittings and connections have been checked and rechecked, all is good. Anyone?
