I am in need of a little direction if possible. I'm trying to find out how one would get into a "contract to hire" welding career. More specifically the food-grade stainless area. I know a couple of guys who do this, they travel all over the country and are payed per diem for traveling. I have tried to get information out of them but unfortunately I haven't gotten much at all. It sounds like a career that really relies on word of mouth, which makes it hard to find a job. If there is anyone who can give me information on the best route to take, how and where to look for entry-level positions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
