I'm trying to trace my Nanas great grandmother - Erana/Ellena/Erina/Ellen Ferguson who apparently was born around Kaikohe/Waihou Valley or Hokianga in approx 1823. Erana lived in Tangaihi for 65 years till she died in 1931. She married 3 times - Thomas Kelly was one husband and the children that we know of that they had are named Thomas, Matilda, Jane Louise and possibly Henry.
Jane Louise (daughter) married James Marston who was the son of Ngapo Uenuku and James Van Marston in Omarumutu.
Erana apparently had 15 children in total. Her other 2 husbands names are unknown. She had a moko on her face and is now buried in an unmarked grave at Mt Wesley.
Information that we have been given which may be incorrect says her last name may have been Taimoria. Nga Puhi, Hapu Ngati Wharara Kokohuia.
I would love it if someone knew something about her!!!
