I'm trying to find out about my Tupuna :Samuel Strongman, apparently he was a: British Seaman/Trader who had went with Maori Slave Girl, who was captured by my Iwi :Ngapuhi,who had taken her from :Matakana Island, Tauranga . She was there captive slave, now both :Samuel & the Maori slave girl had a son called: Davis Andrew Strongman who had married :Matilda Edmonds . Now I'm trying to find out where Samuel Strongman was born , I know he was from England but where in England I don't know..? Also I don't know who the Maori girl was or what her name was, & If there was any history about my 2 Tupuna's.., As it would be very interesting to know who she was & whether they had married or what..???,plus if anyone from up Kerikeri,knew of this story.
