Kia ora whanau,
My grandfather is Sonny Anderson or Wiremu Anihana. We were told he was buried behind the church at Batley with his whanau who were Henare Wharara Toka. Mum(Mary Maata Pulham nee Anderson) and I travelled to Otamatea this week and found our the area that was told to us. My grandfather died in Te Koporu hospital when he was quite young, I think about mid twenties of TB. My mum and her sisters, Janey and Collie were taken to Kaihu and raised by my mums sister, Nanny Dolly(Tauke)Te Rore and Paa - Lovey Te Rore. My mum has a photo of my grandfather and grandmother, her name was Maramatanga(Guidee) Kereama. Can anyone please tell me and my whanau about our grandfather. Mum remembers some of his sisters as Clara and Rose??
