My name is Harmony Haira. Henare Wharara Toka is my great grandfather, his son Wiremu Aperahama Henare is my koro, mums father, and my Mum is Hana, (nee Henare) Haira, named after her nanny Hana Hopa.
I was reading on here that there will be a family reunion for the whanau of Henare Wharara Toka held in 2011? Mum has asked me to find out when this will be held as she would love to go with me and my brothers and sister.
We were raised in the Wairarapa, far from my auntys and uncles and we have met some of our auntys and uncles, us kids dont know much about our henare whanau out there and we would like to reconnect with them and find out about our whanau, and where we come from.
If there is a family reunion, we would love to be there as it would be an awesome oppertunity to reconnect with our family.
If you could help me with information regarding the family reunion my mum and brothers and sister, would appreciate it very much.
