I am also very interested in the Bockmann family as my gt grandfather was Johann Friedrich Christian Bockmannm uncle to Maria Elizabeth Magdalena (aka Lena or Elizabeth)
I have been researching the family for about 45 years but with so many name variations it can be difficult. My gt. grandfather's diaries included regular mentions of his sister Sophie (another rather interesting lady I suspect)and an occasion when he sent a money order to Elizabeth Harwood.
