The marae you seek is unlikely to be Te Puea which opened in 1965. More likely Waiokura marae, Manaia which opened their new wharekai, Tama Wahine in 2005 and is the 3rd with that name. Area settled 1800's. Search there. Only Pa Henare Tate from Northland had a bit to do with our marae when he was at the Te Unga-a-waka catholic complex in Newmarket. He's a keen whakapapa researcher too.
