Hopefully you are still tracking your post. Did your dad's family come from Wairoa? If they did, then there is a faint chance that the Derek Heremaia that I know is your father. He has 2 sons that I know of - Paul and Stafford. Both attended St Stephens School, Bombay, in the mid to late 1970's. Derek and I worked at NZ Wire Industries Ltd, in Otahuhu in the 1980's. I have checked the Auckland telephone directory but can't see a listing for him.Your best bet would be to make enquiries with the Otahuhu Workingmens & Cosmopolitan Club, 101 Atkinson Avenue, Otahuhu phone (09) 276 8672. Leave your contact details with them. Hopefully, if he is your dad, he will make contact with you.
