The tiger had promised her a meal, and he had better deliver, for if he failed than she would make certain he would pay for it...and for the claw marks which marred the flesh about her face. She had cleaned away the blood, both her own and the cat's from where he had impaled himself upon her thorny armour, but the scratches would take time to heal. Still, she had told him he had a week to bring her food, so a week she would need to wait. Fate's stomach rumbled again, and her glowing eyes scanned the skies and horizon, watching, waiting. She was not camouflaged at the moment, but when her meal appeared, she would be certain to hide herself. Besides, the willow leaves hid her presence to the distant observer, so why waste her energy on unneeded efforts until her prey neared.

The odd creature looked like little else on the mountain. Her colouring, in and of itself, was strange enough...a pleasing shade of pink, though the pleasantness of the hue was offset by the harshness of her form. Her entire body seemed to be nearly covered in spikes, except where they faded about her face. Bat-like wings were held against her body, slotted in amongst her spikes, and a fiercely hooked beak clicked softly in annoyance, as glowing red eyes peered out from beneath the wavering willow leaves.
