Fate's quickly grabbed a beakful of ebony feathers and tore them from the body of the cat-faced griffin, spitting them aside. This she repeated several times, clearing a space of flesh from the plumage, before her razor-sharp beak ripped in the cat-faced griffin's flesh. She fed ravenously, desperately, ripping into the carcass time and time again to clear every morsal of meat from the skeleton, blood tainting her rosy pink skin crimson. There would be time for revenge later...right now the only thing her hunger-driven mind could focus on was the food before her.

Fate started toward the cat-faced griffin even before her blessing had completed its work, only to pause mid-step. She was so terribly hungry that she was eager to tear into her meal, yet something registered in her subconscious, a flicker she had very briefly seen in the cat-faced griffin's eyes. It was only this hesitation that prevented her from consuming him alive, for as her stomach finally reasserted itself and she pounced on the carcass, the griffin had already died.
