He had been drifting about the mountain, just a whisper on the wind trying to find anything that he might be able to return to Ice with as any sort of news to prepare them for anything that might come. So far, all the spirit gathered was Lestat was still around, but anything else was just rumor that proved to be false. In his drifting, a familiar sound reached his rounded ears. The translucent figured might have wept were it possible as he heard the sadness in Seg's voice. Lucien almost felt like disappearing. It was only when it occured to him that the Ice pack alpha was calling for him. The snow leopard moved with the breeze, disappearing for a second before returning again before Seg. His blue eyes showed the sadness he felt, but still Lucien stood tall, knowing what he did was for the best. He spoke, his voice loud enough for only Seg to hear, "I can't stay gone forever, my friend. You did not fail me, Seg." He paused briefly, "There is nothing I can ask of you, my friend. But I'd be lying if I really meant that. I came across a dragon egg that I led Tyheam to. I'm sure by now it has hatched... I know you don't have a wonderous like of dragons, but I think with Tyheam raising it and your wisdom as well, it will grow to be a great protector of our pack." Lucien made a half-hearted smile, trying to lighten the rather grim mood. There wasn't anything else he could ask for; then he added something else, "When the time is right, I will return home in the fur and flesh."

The snow leopard spirit was still lingering. In fact, he had recently appeared in his home when he had discovered a dragon egg. Lucien knew that his brother would care for the hatchling.
